Shear Line, Amihan to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The Shear Line and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will continue to bring rainy skies over parts of Luzon and Visayas Saturday.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast issued at 4 p.m., Friday, Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the Shear Line.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough coastal waters may be expected in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:24 a.m. on Saturday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
