Shear line, Amihan continue to cause rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas
The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continue to bring rainy skies over parts of Luzon and Visayas.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon, Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon, MIMAROPA, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, strong winds with rough seas may be felt over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon.
The eastern section of Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:24 a.m. on Thursday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
