Amihan, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon while the Shear Line will affect the eastern section of Southern Luzon on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is strong and moving northeastward, and coastal waters will be rough.

The eastern sections of Central, Southern Luzon, and the Visayas will have moderate to strong winds moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 6:23 a.m., sunset at 5:42 p.m. — BAP/KG, GMA Integrated News
