Localized thunderstorm likely on Jan. 9 for Nazareno 2025

There’s a chance for a localized thunderstorm to occur in the afternoon or evening of Thursday, January 9 during the Feast of the Jesus Nazarene.

According to the weather forecast in 24 Oras on Monday, the City of Manila will experience partially cloudy skies starting Tuesday until Thursday.

The temperature in the next three days will range between 22 to 30 degrees celsius.

Further, data from Metra Weather showed that heavy rains will prevail in Cagayan and Isabela on Tuesday morning.

Rains until the afternoon are also possible in Cordillera, Mimaropa, and Bicol Region.

Large portions of the Visayas and Mindanao are also expected to experience rains on Tuesday.

The northeast monsoon (Amihan) and the shear line, or the clash between cold and hot air, will prevail over the rest of the country.

Due to Amihan, it is not advisable for fishermen to conduct fishing activities on the northern seaboard of northern Luzon.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the Amihan is gaining strength which could lead to slightly cooler weather in other parts of Luzon, especially at night or midnight. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
