Amihan, shear line to bring rains over Luzon
The northeast monsoon (Amihan) and the shear line will bring rains over Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said on Monday afternoon.
According to its weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the Amihan willl bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
Meanwhile, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line,
These conditions may result in moderate to at times heavy rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides.
The Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, with no significant weather impact expected.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
These severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said Northern Luzon will observe strong wind conditions and rough coastal water conditions.
Meanwhile, winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern sections of Central, Southern Luzon, and Visayas.
Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
Sunrise will be at 6:23 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
