Amihan, shear line, ITCZ to bring rains over parts of PH

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), shear line, and Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rains over parts of the country on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Quezon, and Aurora may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon, but with no significant impact.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated  rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region are being affected by the ITCZ. Rains, which may be moderate to heavy, may result in flash floods or landslides.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. During severe thunderstorms, there may possibly be flash floods or landslides.

Coastal waters will be strong in Northern and Central Luzon, and moderate to rough in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
