Northeast Monsoon, shear line to bring rains over parts of Luzon
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and a shear line are affecting Luzon on Sunday and will bring rains over several areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by the shear line. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be strong to gale in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon.
The eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to rough coastal waters, while it will be slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
