Amihan, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over North, Central Luzon
Two weather systems will continue to bring cloudy conditions with rains over parts of Luzon, according to PAGASA's daily weather forecast on Saturday afternoon.
Cloudy skies with rains may be expected over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, while a shear line is forecast to cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some parts of the country as a result of these weather conditions, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, strong to gale-force winds and strong to gale-force waters may be felt over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon.
The eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:23 a.m. Sunday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
