Amihan, Shear Line bring cloudy skies with rain over parts of Luzon

Two weather systems continue to cause cloudy conditions over some parts of the country, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast posted on Friday afternoon.

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will be causing cloudy skies with rain over Batanes, while the Shear Line causes cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

The rest of the country will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, strong to gale-force winds with coastal waters of 2.8 meters to 4.5 meters may be expected over extreme Northern Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to tough seas may be felt over the rest of Northern Luzon and eastern section of Central Luzon, while the rest of the countey will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:22 a.m. on Saturday.  — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
