PAGASA: Rainy weekend in PH due to 4 weather systems
Four weather systems simultaneously affecting the country will give Filipinos a rainy weekend.
PAGASA's 4 a.m. bulletin said Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will trigger cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA.
Mainland Cagayan, Apayao, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms as a result of the shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Amihan will also give the Ilocos Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Except in the Ilocos Region, rest of Cagayan Valley and CAR, residents in areas affected by the weather systems are advised to remain alert for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
