ITCZ, Amihan to bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of PH
The Intertropical Convergence Zone and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast issued at 4 p.m., the ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Palawan.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region.
Localized thunderstorms will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Affected residents are warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, strong winds with rough seas may occur over Northern Luzon.
The eastern section of the country will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
