PAGASA: Shear line to bring rains on Christmas Day in Luzon, Eastern Visayas
The shear line will dampen parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Eastern Visayas on Christmas Day, according to PAGASA.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro due to the shear line.
Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan.
The same weather system will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms triggered by the easterlies.
Meanwhile, the tropical cyclone (Pabuk) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is monitored to be slowly moving west southwestward with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
Its location is 335 kilometers west of Kalayaan, Palawan.
