PAGASA: Amihan, shear line to affect PH; tropical cyclone still outside PAR
The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect parts of the country, PAGASA said, as it continues to monitor a tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Tropical Storm Pabuk was spotted 250 kilometers west northwest of Kalayaan, Palawan, moving at 10 kilometers per hour (km/h) northwestward with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, CALABARZON and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for possible flash floods of landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.
Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by Amihan.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms
The sunset will be at 5:34 p.m.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
