Shear line, Amihan to bring rains over several areas

A shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are affecting parts of Luzon and Visayas on Saturday and will bring rains over several areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas. Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Luzon may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains as a result of the monsoon, but no significant impact is expected.
Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA). Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.
Coastal waters will be rough in the eastern section of Southern Luzon, and moderate to rough in Visayas, the rest of Luzon, and the northeastern section of Mindanao.
The rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
