LPA, 3 other weather systems to bring rain across the PH
Weather service PAGASA is monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA) along with three other weather systems causing cloudy conditions and rain across various parts of the country.
According to the Friday afternoon weather forecast, the LPA, formerly Typhoon Querubin, was observed over Vincenzo A. Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:00 p.m.
The LPA is predicted to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, SOCCSKSARGEN, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM.
Meanwhile, the Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to a shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some parts of the country due to weather conditions.
Meanwhile, strong winds with rough waters could be expected over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while winds over Mindanao will be light to moderate with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise will be at 6:16 a.m. on Saturday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
