PAGASA: Amihan, ITCZ to cause cloudy skies in parts of Luzon, Mindanao
The Northeast Monsoon and the Intertropical Convergence Zone continue to bring cloudy conditions over parts of Luzon and Mindanao.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon, the ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.
The rest of the country will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies, PAGASA said.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions, it added.
Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters while the rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
