Amihan, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rain to parts of PH
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) are bringing cloudy conditions over parts of the country.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Thursday afternoon, Mindanao and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ, while cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be felt over Bicol Region and Quezon due to the easterlies.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.
The rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas may be felt over Luzon, Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao.
The rest of the country will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
