Parts of N. Luzon to have cloudy skies, rains due to Amihan, shear line

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect parts of Northern Luzon, PAGASA said in its weather forecast released Saturday morning.

Cloudy skies with light rains are possible over Batanes due to Amihan, while cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao because of the shear line.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms because of localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters will prevail for the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:09 a.m. Sunset is scheduled for 5:27 p.m. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
