PAGASA: Shear line, Amihan to bring rains over parts of Luzon
The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over parts of Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its forecast, the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan.
The rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will see cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.
These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.
The Amihan will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon. PAGASA said this weather condition will have no significant impact.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Residents of affected areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
State meteorologists also said Northern and Central Luzon may see moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be moderate throughout the rest of the country.
Sunrise will be at 6:06 a.m. on Tuesday.—Celine Serquina/LDF, GMA Integrated News
