Shear Line affecting Southern Luzon, rest of Luzon to feel Amihan
The Shear Line is currently affecting Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will be experienced by the the rest of Luzon, according to PAGASA on early Sunday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said the Shear Line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Negros Occidental, and Cebu.
The same conditions, caused by the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, will be experienced by the farther south and west, the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan.
The Amihan will cause cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora province.
The Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains triggered by localized thunderstorms.
State meteorologists cautioned possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains due to the prevailing conditions.
Wind and coastal water conditions
The eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will have rough seas while the rest of country will experience light to strong winds. Winds are generally from the northeast direction.—RF, GMA Integrated News
