Shear Line, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rain over parts of PH
The Shear Line and the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy and rainy conditions over parts of the country.
According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. daily weather forecast on Thursday, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Bohol, Siquijor, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi due to effects of the ITCZ.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon should expect cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms caused by the Shear Line, while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some parts of the country due to said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, strong winds with rough waters may be felt over Northern Luzon.
The rest of Luzon will be having moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, and the rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
