Shear line, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH

The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Bohol, Siquijor, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms due to the shear line with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque will have cartly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon but will have no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is strong moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
