Amihan affecting Extreme Northern Luzon; ITCZ to bring rains over Mindanao

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Extreme Northern Luzon, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rains over Mindanao on Sunday, PAGASA said in its forecast.

Batanes and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly cause flash floods or landslides.

Caraga and the Davao Region may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal areas will be rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, and moderate in the rest of Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
