Most parts of PH to be affected by easterlies

The easterlies will affect most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

Because of the easterlies, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga del Norte, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Cloudy skies with rains are expected over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

Strong winds and rough coastal waters are forecast for Extreme Northern Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are expected in the rest of Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:01 a.m. Sunset is scheduled for 5:24 p.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
