Mindanao to see cloudy skies, rains due to ITCZ
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Mindanao, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA early Saturday morning.
Because of the ITCZ, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail in Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Occidental, and Palawan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Visayas and the rest of Mindanao.
Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, at 2 a.m., the low pressure area was located 1,455 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon. At present, the country has not been directly affected by the weather disturbance.
The Philippines will have light to moderate winds as well as slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:48 a.m. while sunset is expected at 5:34 p.m. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
