ITCZ, easterlies bring rain to parts of Visayas, Mindanao


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterly winds are bringing rain over parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday, there will be cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of SOCCSKSARGEN and BARMM.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Eastern Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides will occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters may be felt across the country.
