Heavy rains affect parts of Metro Manila, Laguna, Quezon

Parts of Metro Manila, and provinces of Laguna and Quezon experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds before noon Tuesday.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 11:32 a.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Mandaluyong, Makati, Taguig, Pasig, Muntinlupa in Metro Manila
• Paete, Kalayaan, Lumban, Cavinti, Luisiana, Pakil in Laguna
• Panukulan, Burdeos, Mauban, Real, Atimonan, Tayabas, Pagbilao, Sampaloc, Perez, Alabat, Calauag, Quezon, Padre Burgos, Lucena, Lucban, Infanta, General Nakar, Polillo, Patnanungan, Jomalig in Quezon.

It said the weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Meanwhile, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija may experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds within the next two to three hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
