Shear line, easterlies to bring more rain over Luzon

The shear line and easterlies will continue to bring rains over parts of Luzon in the next 24 hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday afternoon in its forecast.

Batanes will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.

Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA added.

The easterlies will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

These severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods and landslides in the affected areas.

State meteorologists also said the country may experience light to moderate wind conditions, and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

Sunrise will be at 5:47 a.m. on Monday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
