Shear line, easterlies to bring rains over parts of PH

The shear line affecting Extreme Northern Luzon and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Bicol Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, some areas may have flash floods or landslides.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
