ITCZ, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains across PH

Most parts of the country will see cloudy skies and rains due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast issued on Friday afternoon.

Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the ITCZ.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon because of the easterlies.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are expected in the northern and western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are forecast for the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:46 a.m. on Saturday.  — VBL, GMA Integrated News
