PAGASA monitors 2 LPAs, 1 tropical cyclone outside PAR

State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring two low pressure areas and one tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

As of 2 p.m. Thursday, PAGASA located the tropical depression 2,635 kilometers east of Central Luzon, moving eastward slowly with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.

One of the LPAs was spotted 1,460 km east of Eastern Visayas, while the other LPA was monitored 735 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in Batanes due to the LPA, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

The whole country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m. on Friday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
