LPA outside PAR develops into tropical depression

The low pressure area outside the Philippine area of responsibility has developed into a tropical depression.

The low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression, according to state weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday.

“At 8:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) 09g outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility developed into a Tropical Depression,” PAGASA said.

Based on the graph posted by PAGASA, two more LPAs are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

Due to this, the public is advised to monitor updates from PAGASA.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said in its 24-hour public weather forecast that up to heavy rains are expected as the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Palawan may have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Due to localized thunderstorms, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
