Yellow rainfall warning raised anew over Batanes


A yellow rainfall warning was raised over Batanes on Saturday afternoon due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In its 2 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said it may bring light rains affecting the following areas: 

  • Cagayan (Abulug, Aparri, Ballesteros, Calayan, Claveria, Pamplona, SanchezMira, SantaPraxedes) 
  • Isabela (Dinapigue, Palanan)
  • Apayao (Luna, Calanasan)
  • Portions of Benguet
  • Portions of Abra 
  • Aurora (Casiguran, Dilasag)

It said the conditions may persist within two to three hours and may affect nearby areas.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains is expected over the rest of Cagayan, the rest of Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, the rest of Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao within the next two to three hours. 

PAGASA warned residents in the area of possible flooding and landslides in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.

Tropical Depression Igme left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday at 2:30 a.m.
