Habagat to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas

Luzon and Visayas will experience cloudy skies and rains because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), PAGASA said in its weather outlook issued on Thursday afternoon.

In its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said Zambales and Bataan will have monsoon rains, while occasional rains will occur in the Ilocos Region.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be observed in Metro Manila, Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, CALABARZON, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms are expected in Mindanao.

The western section of Luzon will have strong winds and rough coastal waters.

Moderate to strong winds and to moderate to rough coastal waters will prevail in Visayas and the rest of Luzon.

Both moderate winds and coastal waters are possible in Mindanao.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:45 a.m. on Friday. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
