Habagat to bring rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao on Sunday and will bring rains over several areas, weather bureau PAGASA said in its forecast.
The northern portion of Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental will have monsoon rains, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to heavy to intense rains.
Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Batangas, and the rest of MIMAROPA, and Western Visayas and Negros Island Region may have occasional rains also due to the monsoon. Moderate to heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zambales, Bataan, and the rest of Visayas, CALABARZON, and Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.
Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms will affect the rest of Luzon. These areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be rough in Visayas, the western section of Southern Luzon, and the western, northern, and eastern sections of Mindanao.
The seaboards in the rest of Southern Luzon and Mindanao will have moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
