Habagat to bring rains over parts of PH

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is predicted to bring rains over several parts of the country, PAGASA said in its daily weather forecast on Saturday afternoon.

Monsoon rains will prevail over MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and Negros Occidental, while occasional rains are possible in Bicol Region and the rest of Negros Island Region.

The Southwest Monsoon may also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Batangas, Zambales, and Bataan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur.

Meanwhile, strong winds with rough coastal waters may be anticipated in the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The rest of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
