Trough of tropical storm outside PAR, Habagat to bring scattered rains

The trough of Tropical Storm Bebinca will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the eastern section of the country while the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will affect the rest of the country on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

The weather bureau continues to monitor Tropical Storm Bebinca, the tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It was last estimated to be located 2,070 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas, packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 90 kph and moving west northwestward at 25 kph.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of Tropical Storm Bebinca with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Bicol Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the tropical storm. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The whole country will experience light to moderate winds moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 5:45 a.m., sunset at 6:01 p.m. — BAP/KG, GMA Integrated News
