Thunderstorm advisory issued for Cavite, NCR, other areas

PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory for Cavite, Batangas, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Nueva Ecija and Quezon on Tuesday morning.

In its advisory issued at 8:20 a.m., the weather bureau advisory said the above-mentioned areas may expect moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds within the next three hours.

Bataan, Zambales (Botolan, Cabangan, San Marcelino, San Antonio, Subic, San Narciso, San Felipe, Castillejos, Olongapo), Tarlac (Bamban, Capas) and Pampanga (Porac, Floridablanca, Lubao) are also experiencing the same conditions as of posting time.

The conditions "may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas," PAGASA said.

"All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides," PAGASA said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
