Habagat still affecting Luzon, will bring rains

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect Luzon on Tuesday and will bring rains, weather bureau PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flooding or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

"Wala nang direktang epekto sa lagay ng ating panahon ngayong araw ang dalawang low pressure area sa labas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility kahit na nananatili ang tsansa ng mga ito na maging bagyo," weather presenter Anjo Pertierra said on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

(The two low pressure areas outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility have no direct affect on our weather today even if the chances of these developing into tropical depression remain.)
