Habagat affects Luzon

Habagat affects Luzon, according to PAGASA

Cloudy skies along with rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Luzon in the next 24 hours because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), PAGASA said on Saturday afternoon.

Specifically, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms are possible throughout the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned of possible flooding or landslides due to rains or severe thunderstorms.

The western and northern sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving southwest to south and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Light to moderate winds will prevail over the rest of the country, moving southeast to south and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:44 a.m. on Sunday. — Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
