Intense rains affect Metro Manila, 6 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and six provinces in Luzon experienced intense to torrential rains with lightning and strong winds Friday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at: 4:43 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas are:

• Rizal,
• Bulacan (Angat, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, Bustos),
• Laguna (Santa Rosa, Binan, San Pedro),
• Cavite (Naic, Tanza),
• Batangas (Calatagan, Balayan, Calaca, Agoncillo, Lemery, Taal, San Nicolas, Batangas City, Bauan, Mabini, San Pascual, San Luis, Alitagtag, Santa Teresita). and
• Zambales (Santa Cruz, Masinloc)

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Quezon, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan within the next two hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
