Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 7 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and seven Luzon provinces are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Friday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:59 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas in the next two hours are:

• Tarlac,
• Bataan,
• Pampanga,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Rizal,
• Quezon and
• Cavite.

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Zambales (Botolan), Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Miguel), Batangas (Santo Tomas, Tanauan) and Laguna (Calamba, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, Los Banos).

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
