Severe tropical storm monitored outside PAR west of Central Luzon
The weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring the movement of a severe tropical storm outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon, Severe Tropical Storm Shanshan was at 3 p.m. seen 2,135 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
It was slowly moving northward and had maximum sustained winds of 100 kph and gustiness of up to 125 kph.
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
The Philippines will also be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
