Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 4 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and four provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Friday noon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 12 noon, state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas within the next two hours are:

• Rizal,
• Bulacan,
• Zambales, and
• Tarlac.

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Tagkawayan, Guinayangan, Calauag, Lopez, Catanauan, General Luna, Macalelon, Gumaca, Pitogo in Quezon; Nasugbu and Tuy in Batangas; Alfonso in Cavite; and Santa Cruz and Pagsanjan in Laguna.

This may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
