Thunderstorm warning issued over Metro Manila, nearby provinces

State weather bureau PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory over Metro Manila and surrounding provinces on Sunday afternoon.

In its 11:25 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales and Laguna within the next 2-3 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in Quezon (Polillo) which may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

The public is advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. —RF, GMA Integrated News
