Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies and rains over some areas in Luzon and Visayas for the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may occur in the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands due to Habagat.

PAGASA said moderate to at times heavy rains may cause possible flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also due to Habagat.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms.

Residents in the affected areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau also said the wind and coastal water conditions throughout the country will be light to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
