Habagat, thunderstorms to bring rains all over the country —PAGASA

Habagat, thunderstorms to bring rains all over the country —PAGASA

Rains are expected all over the country on Monday due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and localized thunderstorms, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 24-hour public weather forecast, PAGASA said Habagat is affecting Luzon and the western section of Visayas while localized thunderstorms will affect the rest of the country.

Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, which could lead to flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region, meanwhile, may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, which could lead flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, which could lead to flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

For wind and coastal water conditions, PAGASA said the entire country may have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 2.1 meters.

A low pressure area (LPA) is being monitored and located at 1,375 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon as of 3 a.m. Monday, according to PAGASA. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA Integrated News
