Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Cavite

A thunderstorm advisory has been issued by state weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday afternoon over Bataan, Batangas, Metro Manila, and Cavite.

The above-mentioned areas may expect moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds within two hours from 1:12 p.m.

The following areas meanwhile are currently having moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds:

• Pampanga (Candaba, Arayat);
• Nueva Ecija (Cabiao, Gapan, Pantabangan);
• Bulacan (San Miguel);
• Tarlac (San Jose, Mayantoc, Santa Ignacia);
• Zambales (Candelaria);
• Rizal (Pililla);
• Laguna (Santa Maria, Mabitac, Famy); and
• Quezon (Mauban)

PAGASA said the conditions may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” it added. —Sherylin Untalan/KG, GMA Integrated News
