Habagat continues to affect most parts of PH

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect Luzon and the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast on Friday afternoon.

The Habagat will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may be expected over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, moderate winds and seas will be experienced in Northern Luzon, and light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters will occur throughout the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:41 a.m. on Saturday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
