Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of S. Luzon, Visayas

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of Southern Luzon and the Visayas on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.

Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Visayas, Bicol Region, the rest of Mimaropa, and the rest of Calabarzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also due to the Southwest Monsoon with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA is also monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) estimated to be located as of 3 a.m.at 835 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.

The weather bureau said the LPA will not affect the country, according to a report on Unang Balita.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds moving in the south to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
